Final Piece- Shoot two

This is the final image I went with, the multi texture and detailed, sharp contrast really uplifted this image and made it look real just the way Lee Jeffries work stands out and has the emotion along with the image. The story behind this image is that reflection of an old lady and the feel of this individual was elegant and fragile, the lace replicated this but also the strong contrast on the face shows appearances aren’t everything it is what inside as well they're bold and powerful with views and general knowledge. The feel of a strong story was inspired by my whole subject and also Lee Jeffries helped this as his image have a high amount of emotion. By using Photoshop I could change directions of lace and the opacity so the composition links with the original image.

On this image I concentrated on the high amount of composition and contrast from the sharp and soft shadows/lighting on the individual to really pick up on the detail and wrinkles to reflect that she is an old lady. To make the shadows stronger I burned them on Photoshop slightly with a low opacity to make it look more natural and not sharp, I used manual setting for these images as it was a dark room with only one light so I wanted to be able to adjust the manual focus by myself to have high amounts of detail. To create the dark background I used a black piece of fabric so it’s soft and won’t reflect the light like a piece of paper would.
This was the image I used for my final piece, but decided to edit it without the lace effect to show the strong and sharp contrast along with the detail, this is one of the best images I took as it is greatly focused. The composition of involving the shoulder and part of the collar bone and chest worked well with the size of the image and portrait lay out.
By changing the idea of layering the lace around the individual i wanted to try and do it on the figure to have the lace almost looking like its wrapping round the hand its apart of the body, the contrast and layering worked well together and didn’t distract from each image by use a low opacity on the rubber to have the face stand out more.
