Photoshoot

For this image, I used a double exposure app on my phone. I first of all took the images with my canon camera, using studio lighting for both images then uploading to my phone and uploaded onto the app to have a double exposure affect. The contrast and composition of the image worked really well, the dull colours of the lace contrasting with the light and composition of the girl to the right which blends in with the shape of the lace well. The lace image was taken on close up to increase the high amount of detail in the lace and so its very focused, the girl was taken with portrait setting.

For this image I didn’t use the double exposure app, instead I decided to use the lace lens effect. Using the manual setting on my camera I could adjust to which part of the image I wanted in focus and detailed, the composition of the detailed lace is to the left with the right side of the image in focus on the soft fingers, to get the detail and focus how I wanted I used studio lighting and a tripod so it wouldn’t move and blur, also the studio lighting was soft and really suited the mood of the image along with the pale colours. I edited it slightly to boost the contrast slightly but not too much as I wanted the image to stay soft.

The double exposure app worked exactly how I wanted it to for this image with the contrast of the over layered lace onto the girl but the lace isn’t too overpowering and strong. The vast amounts of textures in the overall image were soft, sharp and multigrain another texture was involved mildly by the background of the actual girl image. The composition was thought about greatly and what image would suit the model image well and compliment it, as the lace draped how I wanted with the head and leaving a gap so you can see the detail in the face also. I used studio lighting on the lace and natural light on the model.
