Representation

The images I have chosen for this shoot have a mixture of techniques along with story from the photos taken, the black background for a more dramatic effect along with a single light shining on the object to make that stand out on top of the plain background. From a mixture of contrasting images with them in black and white and a more confusing colour photo, to symbolise there’s so much going on in a woman’s mind which the jewellery is representing, as it’s like each judgment is dangling from a few decisions they don’t want to make. For example the appearance they are pressured to be like. To enhance the confusion I decided to try and reflect the natural jewellery onto my floor which was done better with the single strong light so it was clearer. The images have been taken on close up to pick up on the detail and make it more focused; I will carry this onto my work also. These images have inspired me by the way the contrast of the background to the sharp image taken to be representation of a woman’s mind, independent but can be miss-lead with the confusion of the wires.
