Photoshoot

This image was inspired by the images I had chosen and search, from creating images with elements which aren’t in fact in the picture whilst it’s being taken. My concept of this image and its story is appearance and emotions related as when you start from the image on the left she is in black and white with a vast amount of makeup on looking insecure and not herself she is hiding behind the pressure to be perfect which she doesn’t actually like, then as the image progresses to the right the saturation increases, the makeup decreases and the happiness also increases. This story is powerful along with the chosen editing from colourful to black and white. I edited this by taken three different images and then selecting around the two models and layering it over the top of the original photo. I used a tripod to have the background and model with a high amount of focus and sharpness on manual to choose the ISO. The location was chosen to enhance the multiple different textures replicating if you’re feeling one way you may go in another direction.

I used aperture on this single image along with zooming in intensely and choosing my focus manually to enhance and select the amount of detail to come through the image, this was also increased by adding midtone and adjusting the levels. I chose to edit the image to black and white around the lips to still pick up on the makeup but to replicate in the feelings and emotion of the individual; she doesn’t like the pressure to be perfect but has to do it to fit in. This image was inspired by not only my artist research but of the questionnaire I used as girls seem to have the appeal of skinny is perfect and trapping their feelings in so this is showing inner feelings but on the outside. The texture of the blurred background is soft and enhances the composition of the figure as it isn’t busy.
