Artist Research

Unfocused Repetition

This shoot was all about pressure from the real world with advertising, as Barbie is a very popular kids toy, this is what woman should look like, perfect, skinny, flawless which may be where a woman's mind had the felt of being let down when they grew up and thought they weren't perfect because they didn't look like Barbie, these images have inspired me to get that message/story across by the way teenagers feel pressure from the real world and something that was part of their child hood. My whole inspiration for this shoot was mainly from Barbie and pressure. One of the images I have chosen have a strong aperture where the first thing its picking up on is blurred and the background is in focus this would be done by using the manual settings on the camera so then you can change which parts you want in focus and out of focus. Also I have used a technique called layering in my images to copy wording for a sense of confusion. These artist research images have all individually inspired me from the concept of Barbie, to a setting technique and also an editing technique.
